MAD Architects has unveiled Lishui Airport, a project that has taken 17 years to complete in the mountainous region of southwestern Zhejiang, China. The airport, dubbed "Mountain Bird," is notable for its harmonious integration with the surrounding landscape, symbolising the region's entry into the aviation era.
