Atelier Tsuyoshi Tane Architects, in collaboration with artist Tatsuo Miyajima, is developing the Sea of Time – TOHOKU project in Tomioka, Fukushima, which aims to integrate architecture and installation on a cliff overlooking the Pacific Ocean. Set to open in spring 2028, the design reflects the historical context of the 2011 Tōhoku earthquake and tsunami, making the landscape and memory central to the experience.
