Atelier Deshaus has transformed a former water collection facility on Jianhu Lake into the Avant-Garde Library, incorporating existing structures into a cultural hub featuring a bookstore, café, exhibition space, and observation pavilion. This revitalisation project, completed in 2022, opens the previously restricted island to the public, promoting rural revitalisation and cultural tourism.
