The Museum of Modern Art has launched the exhibition "Architects of Liberation: Modernism in Western Africa," which runs from July 5, 2026, to January 2, 2027, showcasing African modern architecture from the late 1950s to the early 1980s. Curated by Martino Stierli and Ikem Stanley Okoye, the exhibition features works from seven countries, organised around key projects that highlight themes of cityscapes, education, and housing in the context of political independence.
