The recently refurbished Teatro Mauri in Valparaíso, originally opened in 1951, has been restored to preserve its significance as a modernist landmark adjacent to Pablo Neruda's La Sebastiana. Following years of disrepair after a fire in the 1990s, the restoration by architects Laura Garrido and Gregorio Garretón aims to revitalise the venue for cultural performances and community events.
