Kuryłowicz + Architects is nearing completion of the Arctowski Station, a timber research facility designed to accommodate 28 researchers in Antarctica. The three-pronged structure features a prefabricated timber frame clad in insulated golden panels, aiming to create a "home away from home" in one of the world's most remote locations.
