The Korean Pavilion at the 2027 Venice Architecture Biennale, curated by Janghwan Lee, will address the issue of urban shrinkage through the concept of "Catabolism," reflecting on the country's demographic challenges of population contraction and aging. The exhibition will feature contributions from architects Bae Yoonkyung, Kyo Suk Lee, and Jaehyub Ko, aiming to reframe urban shrinkage as an opportunity for reconfiguration and new ways of living.
